Not a fan of the new minimalist Copilot UI? If you prefer the older white-themed interface with previous chats visible on the side, here are some possible ways to revert to the old design.
1. Use a Browser Extension to Redirect Copilot
If you access Copilot via a web browser, you can force it to open the older UI version using a redirect extension.
– Install the Redirect Chrome Extension.
– Open the extension and configure it to redirect Copilot requests to the older UI.
2. Try Changing the Theme
Some users have reported that the UI may switch depending on the theme selection.
– Check if there is an option to revert to the older UI under Copilot settings.
– If available, switch between White Theme – ChatPage and Black Theme – ChatPage to see if the previous layout appears.
3. Check for Microsoft Updates
Microsoft frequently updates Copilot, and changes to the UI might not be optional. However, you can check for any rollback options:
– Go to Settings > Windows Update.
– Look for optional updates related to Copilot and install any updates that might restore previous functionality.
4. Provide Feedback to Microsoft
If Microsoft has permanently removed the old UI, submitting feedback may help them reconsider:
– Open Copilot, click on the Feedback button, and describe why you prefer the previous design.
– Alternatively, visit the Microsoft Feedback Hub to share your concerns.
Since Microsoft controls Copilot’s interface updates, these methods may work temporarily until further changes are made.
