How to Install macOS on a Windows PC

Want to run macOS on your Windows PC? This guide walks you through setting up a Hackintosh using Niresh Catalina, Unibeast, and Multibeast. Follow these steps carefully to install macOS and configure essential drivers.

Part 1: Preparing Your PC

Step 1: Check Your System Requirements

  • Ensure your PC has an Intel Core i3, i5, i7, or i9 processor.
  • At least 4GB RAM is required.
  • Go to System Information (⊞ Win + R → type msinfo32) to check your BIOS mode (UEFI or Legacy).

Step 2: Gather Necessary Equipment

  • A USB drive (16GB or larger).
  • An external hard drive (100GB+ recommended).
  • A Mac or Transmac software to create bootable media.

Part 2: Downloading macOS Installer

Step 1: Download Niresh Catalina

  • Visit Hackintosh Zone and log in.
  • Download Niresh Catalina or the latest macOS version available.

Step 2: Download Multibeast

Step 3: Download macOS High Sierra (Optional)

  • Go to the Mac App Store.
  • Search for High Sierra and click Download.

Part 3: Creating a macOS Boot Drive

Step 1: Format USB Drive

  • On a Mac, open Disk Utility.
  • Select your USB drive, click Erase, and choose:
    • Format: Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
    • Scheme: GUID Partition Map
  • Click Erase and then Done.

Step 2: Create Bootable macOS USB

  • Download and open Unibeast.
  • Select the USB drive, choose High Sierra or Catalina, and install it.
  • Copy Multibeast onto the USB drive for post-installation.

Part 4: Installing macOS on Windows PC

Step 1: Boot into the macOS Installer

  • Restart your PC and enter BIOS (press F2, F10, Del).
  • Set USB as the primary boot device and disable Secure Boot.
  • Save changes and boot from the USB.
  • Select macOS Installer in Clover Bootloader.

Step 2: Format Target Drive

  • In macOS Utilities, open Disk Utility.
  • Select the blank hard drive and click Erase.
  • Choose:
    • Format: Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
    • Scheme: GUID Partition Map
  • Click Erase and close Disk Utility.

Step 3: Install macOS

  • Click Install macOS and follow on-screen instructions.
  • The installation process may take up to 30 minutes.

Part 5: Post-Installation Configuration

Step 1: Boot into macOS

  • Restart and boot from the USB again.
  • In Clover Bootloader, select your new macOS installation.

Step 2: Install Drivers with Multibeast

  • Open Multibeast from your USB.
  • Select the following:
    • Bootloader: Clover UEFI Boot Mode (if using UEFI) or Clover Legacy Boot Mode.
    • Drivers: Audio, Network, FakeSMC.
    • Graphics: Choose according to your GPU.
  • Click Build and then Install.

Step 3: Set macOS as Default Boot

  • Restart your PC and go to BIOS.
  • Set the macOS bootloader as the primary boot option.
  • Save and exit.

Your Hackintosh is now ready! Enjoy running macOS on your Windows PC.
