Trying to connect your AirPods to a Windows computer but they don’t appear in the Bluetooth search? Follow these steps to successfully pair them:
1. Charge and Prepare Your AirPods
– Ensure your AirPods have at least 20% battery.
– Place them in the charging case and close the lid for a few seconds.
– Keep the AirPods inside the case while following the next steps.
2. Put AirPods in Pairing Mode
– Open the lid of the charging case.
– Press and hold the Setup button (small circular button on the back of the case).
– Continue holding until the LED light on the case flashes white—this means your AirPods are now in pairing mode.
3. Enable Bluetooth on Your Computer
– Open the Start Menu and go to Settings.
– Click Bluetooth & devices (Windows 11) or Devices (Windows 10).
– Make sure Bluetooth is turned on.
4. Add Your AirPods as a New Device
– Click Add device and select Bluetooth.
– Wait for your AirPods to appear in the list of available devices.
– Click on your AirPods to connect.
5. Complete the Connection
– A message will confirm, “Your device is ready to go.”
– Click Done, and your AirPods should now be connected.
6. Troubleshooting If AirPods Don’t Appear
– Restart your computer and try again.
– Toggle Bluetooth off and back on.
– Remove any old AirPods pairings from your Bluetooth settings.
– Reset your AirPods by holding the Setup button until the light turns amber, then try pairing again.
